CPR & AED TRAINING
Our team held its' regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Sep.23.
The meeting started earlier than usual as special training was on the agenda. The night was devoted to getting our Verona Walk Volunteers re-certified in C.P.R. and the operation of our A.E.D. kits.
As the pictures reveal this was a well organized session with a hands on approach. Team members were observed during several trial practices, and ultimately demonstrated the skill level required for certification.

MONTHLY MEETING
Please take a minute and look through your CERT pack and try to think about what additional equipment you would like to have. Remember were in hurricane season now, have bottled water, medications you may need and extra food on hand that doesn't require cooking, flashlights, or lanterns and extra batteries. Nothing is more important then our team members safety. After a hurricane, once local officials give the "All Clear" be certain your family and home are safe first, then join the team at the Town Center, or if it's not assessable our alternate location, the Tennis Pavilion.

CERT TEAM DOCUMENTS FLOOD AT TOWN CENTER
When Town Center had the misfortune of a water leak Monday Night (May 17) a Team Member was on the scene and gave a helping hand by documenting the damage. This work has been shared with management and the private business owners for insurance purposes.
CERT also secured valuable photos on the next two days after the incident to show the restoration process. These pictures were included in the documentation given to our Manager, and business owners.
The pictures above are exterior views only. The interior shots are being reserved for Town Center Management and the private vendors.
The First three are of the East Naples Fire Equipment that responded; the Fourth is the "Day After" and reflects the "Town Center Closed Notice" on the door, and the last two pictures are on Wednesday. They reveal part of the restoration equipment. Enjoy them.

SPRING TRAINING FOR OUR CERT TEAM
March 27 marked the day when the VeronaWalk C.E.R.T. left our community to attend a County wide training program. This was a beautiful Saturday morning which was a test in itself for the volunteers who gave up their time to participate in this session.
Three classes were offered and our team shinned in each one.
Classes were devoted to: Radios, Triage, and Urban Rescue. All members reported that they picked up quite a bit of new information thus believing the training was beneficial.
