CAPTAIN'S MESSAGE

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 19th at 7:00 P.M. in our Town Center. We'll discuss what to do, where to go after the disaster/hurricane etc. 

We'll also start planning for CERT Day, Oct. 6th.  I hope to see everyone at our next meeting.

CAPTAIN'S MESSAGE

The VeronaWalk CERT team held their monthly meeting on June 21^st 

Town Center was the location and the agenda included a review of when and where to meet after a disaster. Generator safety was   discussed.

In addition we briefly went over plans for CERT Day on October 6^th.

Team Members are advised that the next meeting will be June 21  at Town Center. It will be at 7:00 PM

TEAM MEETING: MAY 17, 2012

The monthly meeting of the VeronaWalk C.E.R.T. Team was held on May 17 at Town center.

Members broke into teams and had a refresher session regarding the procedures for emergency shut down of the Town Center's air conditioning equipment. The teams also practiced using their two-way radios using relay techniques.

Our next team meeting will be held on Thursday May 17 2012 at 6:00 P.M. in our Town Center. Note the early start for this meeting.

Please bring the following equipment to the meeting:

Your CERT hard hat

goggles/safety glasses

your 2 way radio

 

Please wear closed shoes. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water as we will be out doors for a brief time.

TEAM MEETING: APRIL 19, 2012

  VeronaWalk CERT’s April 19^th meeting introduced our new Fire Dept. Coordinator.  The meeting also consisted of a refresher of triage, and basic first aid in preparation for the 2012 hurricane season. The team unanimously authorized purchase of triage tape and supplies some team members did not have. They will be distributed at the next meeting.
